Privacy Policy

The short version: everything KineticClassroom records stays on the iPad it is used on. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, no logins, no advertising and no tracking.
Who we are
KineticClassroom is an iPad app made by FlowState Learning, a business based in Brisbane, Australia. You can contact us at dave@flowstatelearning.com.au.
What the app stores
To work, the app keeps a small amount of information on the iPad:
- The names or initials a teacher enters for students. We ask teachers to use initials only, not full names.
- Which bike sensor is assigned to which student.
- Pedalling information from each session, such as speed and time spent in each regulation zone.
- App settings.
This information is stored only on the iPad. It is not uploaded, backed up to our servers, or shared with us. We have no way to see it.
What the app does not collect
- No accounts, email addresses or passwords.
- No location information.
- No photos, contacts, camera or microphone access.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth only to connect to cadence sensors on the bikes and read pedalling speed. It does not use Bluetooth to identify, locate or track people.
Students
KineticClassroom is used by teachers. Students do not create accounts or enter information into the app. Schools decide which students take part and follow their own procedures for informing parents.
Exporting
If a teacher chooses to export or share a summary from the app, that file is created on the iPad and becomes the school's record from that point. We never receive a copy.
Deleting information
Teachers can remove students and their data within the app. Deleting the app from the iPad deletes everything it has stored.
Crash reports
If an iPad's owner has chosen to share analytics with Apple, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports to us to help fix problems. These do not identify anyone. This is controlled in the iPad's settings under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
